Brew, Galaxy has a valid point about possible crappy customer service from Global though. Then again, at 10 bucks a pop its not worth the return postage to me, just toss it and replace it.

I won't purchase from Uneek. Their still fairly new and have had more problems with product than Globals has. Accel has the wort record, MotoBlue don't sell them anymore. MSD's ? I duno, yet. Not to many here willing to pay their price, I like the color tho.

Yea, I don't care much about that. They have saved friends and I to much money in the past to complain. I think if your worried about getting a bad one, then purchase the 10 pack. Absolutely less drama or hassle that way. I mean, what are going for here? - 8 good ones correct, - and @ a good price. Chances of that happening with Global is still your best bet. All I'm saying.

Motoblue is now weapon x. Pretty sure its the same coil only now there black instead of blue..
The nice thing about the motoblue/weapon x cops is the boots and springs are much better. They dont do a damn thing performance wise though.

Yea but WeaponX don't have coils for 97-03 5fours. I believe they only have 3valve coils. (?) - Unless their making them now. (?)

looks like they are making them for the 2v. $398.50 a set. Also looks like they have done a redesign.. Looks like there saying the eliminated the boot and made it part of the coil..
Looks different for sure. I dont belive the 25-30 hp gain claim nor the 3mpg gas mileage claim/

You have a 3 valve, - the cheaper coils are for the 2 valves. Still, Global does sell your coils, 511's here -

Well, the way that went down. A user purchased coils from Uneek when they first came around. The user from this site informed Uneek of us and Globals prices. Uneek came back stating they would match Globals pricing. Whether or not they are the same coils I don't know for sure; it's just kind of funny they don't seem be as reliable from my count. I only stand behind what has worked the best in the past, for the user. I'm non-bias as far product and who sells it, - unless referring to users of this site. I am bias with that aspect, - so your only going to get from me what's been proven and in this case, - what I've used myself without a problem.

If I had to guess at Uneek Supply offering the same coils as Global Automotive, my guess would be, -they do not.

Seriously brew, really?? How do you install a COP wrong or sloppy?? At least on my 2V, they're either on or they're not. Kinda hard to screw that one up.

So if this is the only logic for not buying the MSD's, I'll play the odds. With this logic, I'll go out on a limb and say your odds of getting a bad one of the box are extremely reduced, almost mitigated, by buying from a top end company. Possible? Yes. Likely?????

When it comes to my vehicles, money is usually at the lower end of the decision making list, but that's just me. I'm all for a smokin deal, but I'm going to get what I want and don't mind paying for quality.

I am putting on my flame-retardant suit, 3,2,1 go. I always laugh at these threads. The logic is, the Global and Uneek COP's are ok to use, why? Because they look just like the OEM's and are much cheaper. I have seen many threads that say "they look just like oem's, they might even be made by the same manufacturer". I am guessing they also seem to work for the most part. Yet when it comes to spark plugs, oh boy, motorcraft or nothing. Even though it is a fact that Autolites are made by the same manufacturer and there is no proof that I have seen so far that say there is any difference. I know, that a $10 cop is much cheaper than an $80 cop, so saving that much money doesnt compare with the probably $5 you would save using autolites, if there is any price difference at all. So there is the real logic, not that they are the same, just that they are a ton cheaper! It is ok to acknowledge that, in fact embrace it. If Motorcraft parts are comparable in price, please use them, if not, save where you can. I am not trying to start a fight, this was merely an observation. One that I find funny. I know some of you will take offense to this, oh well. Hell, I had a Dodge mechanic tell me that I should only use Champion's in my wifes Ram (thank god we got rid of that piece of junk). I personally wouldn't use champions in my lawnmower, but he said thats what they are spec'd to use. I guess if the manufacturer tunes a vehicle with a specific plug, there may be subtle differences in plug manufacturers that could cause it not to be as efficient. In the old carb and points days, it probably didn't matter, but EFI vehicles can be more finely tuned, so I suppose it can make a difference. I guess I just argued with myself and lost? bah, I need a beer now.
