A code P1151 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

Electrical:

Short to VPWR in the harness or HO2S
Water in the harness connector
Open/shorted HO2S circuit
Corrosion or poor mating terminals and wiring
Damaged HO2S
Damaged PCM
Fuel System:

Excessive fuel pressure
Leaking/contaminated fuel injectors
Leaking fuel pressure regulator
Low fuel pressure or running out of fuel
Vapor recovery system
Induction System:

Air leaks after the MAF
Vacuum Leaks
PCV system:

Improperly seated engine oil dipstick
EGR System:

Leaking gasket
Stuck EGR valve
Leaking diaphragm or EVR
Base Engine:

Oil overfill
Cam Timing
Cylinder compression
Exhaust leaks before or near the HO2S(s)

Well, he says it used to do 0-60 in 6 seconds before he lifted it, so he must have dropped in a Lightning motor.

Did you get ahold of the green handle at the gas station??? That's probably why it sounds that way. You feed it diesel and it's gonna act like one.

Prolly bc you have cams, prolly chops pretty good. The 4.6 is just a quite lil motor.

Thats what happens when you mess with something a guy with a PHD in engineering designed! You could take it to the dealer, but you'd pay because you voided the warranty. Did you do all of that work yourself or did you take it somewhere?

#1 when you added the lift and larger tires, did you regear it??

#2 get the eletrical issue sorted (the code)

#3 I assume you have a 4.6 that's been stroked??

#4 who did the tune for you?

#5 what's the entire mod list??

Details on engine year etc please. The way I understand things is you lifted the truck a few months ago and it slowed down. Now a P1151 code showed up and you are posting because of this and adding the performance complaint. If that is the case then there are two issues. If they both appeared at the same time it is one issue.

just a couple thoughts.

1) how loud is the "diesel" sound, could it be the ticking of the injectors or cam phasers?

2) was part of the lift a body lift? did something electrical get pinched or stretched?

3) saying that the code issue got fixed, i agree with above and gears need to be addressed. i went to 35's and stock gearing and it takes a bit longer to get into the power range!

oh and how high did you go?
