P0315

I had my battery unplugged, and my cluster unplugged and now ive got a P0315 came on last night, on my second drive after the cluster was plugged back in. I noticed the truck was running fine, but it felt like the trans was holding the convertor while i was coasting on the highway, causing a light engine braking.

says crankshaft system not learned or something like that. Anything i should be concerned about?

interesting it talks about key being on until draining the battery. I did have the battery unplugged, and turn the key on to remove the key tumbler from the column during my work.

Also related/unrelated:
Just cleaned my K&N saturday
I disconnected the electronics in the column shifter, which is just the OD off switch and light. And it is still disconnected.

Well I sure as heck can't help with the troubleshooting, but I wouldn't think what you've done with the shifter swap and filter cleaning would have an effect towards the code you've pulled.

thanks for the additional in house link i will try it tomorrow.

Truck drives great, just the engine is being held onto by the trans on decel, like a soft engine braking from 70-50 and then lets go and coasts normally from 49 and slower.

took two or three tries of the light coming back but i think i finally got it.

Not sure if it has to simultaneously relearn the Jmod, and other mods as well which makes it harder for the PCM.

I drove about 20 miles today total, with two highway cruises (with coasting decel), and no light yet
