Screw runnin like Sh@t.... help

i have a o6 ScreW with a 5.4 runs like crap, shifts funny and not much power at lower speeds. it seems to run better at freeway speeds and better when warm. not sure what is going wrong it has 65k the only engine mods i have done is a airaid cold air intake, edge programer and a flowmaster muffler. i set the edge back to stock and disconnected the battery, but i am still having the same problems. also i need to replace the fuel filter but am wondering if i am haveing this fuel injector problem? no codes are popping up???? what to do... any help please. also as comffy as this truck is i wish i never sold my 95 f150 it was a great truck and never had any problems with it.

Hey.

OK - this is ALL 'IMHO' only, aight?

These trucks respond very well to a comprehensive, exemplary maintenance regime.

Thus - if I 'm hearing you correctly you have the original fuel filter in there? That's a 1 year/15K item. What else have you not done?

You should get the tranny fluid exchanged, pan drop & filter change.

Change the fuel filter / clean air filter.

Clean the MAF and TB.

Possibly reinstall the stock intake (for now, at least - these trucks are sensitive to intake tract changes - rn stock intake and stock tuning until you get the problems sorted first - you do not want to maks any issues - you want to simplify )

Get the switchrates checked on yer front O2's

You may want to consider a plug change - ~60K is the new recommendation

No visible codes does not mean that none are being stored - you may want to get someone with an advanced scan tool to see if any are pending.

That's for starters - things like cam phasers, throttle body issues, ignition maladies, etc, are also known problems - you need a good shop to look this truck over....

Oh yeah .. and it should go without saying to run quality 5w-20 oil and a good filter - Motorcraft recommended ...

Good luck.
