Sometimes when im just at idle im getting an Forced idle and throttle body stuck open. The truck shuts off, or it just sits at idle. What is causing this problem. Its a 2006 5.4L 44,000 miles, with edge evolution, roush cai, and exhaust.

Wellsir - it might be that yer throttle body either needs cleaning, needs a new TPS, or be entirely replaced. The truck is going into failsafe because it detects an anomaly in the ETC system to protect you. Don't want to emulate a Toyota, ya know

(BTW - canned Edge EVO and an aftermarket WAI do not play well. Just sayin' - get yer A/F's checked to be safe).

Rockauto.com does not list one, but they do list the TPS for $60.

Hopefully someone will chime in but they are a bit pricey, dealer item.

You should also get any codes pulled and post them up before you spend any money on the wrong things.

I paid $59 for TPS @ Auto zone, mine went out on the e-way while on cruise. Scanned it while I grabbed the slow lane. Hit the next exit and found an Auto zone.
