Nope.

As part of Ford's never-ending quest for lowest TCO, these are the new "IF"-designated plugs. "IF" is Fords new truck component Mantra - InFinite Life.

As such, they are welded into the heads by the factory robots.

Ford has finally learned from their past engineering transgressions - these plugs will never blow out, will never separate, and will eliminate all of the whining over plug removal, once and for all.

IF, in the rare event of a single plug failure, the built-in redunancy offered by the second plug for each cylinder will result in NO discernable effect for the driver. The PCM will file away the event, is all, and the Message Center will simply display a "".

IF service is ever required (for example, the exceedingly rare misfires) simply R&R the head, which comes with a new set of plugs pre-welded.

"IF" -rated components already include the steering & suspension parts, the fuel filter, the transmission, and fluids ( except for engine oil - that's next to appease the tree-huggers and eff with BP).

That's awesome! - I haven't been keeping up with the news, -out of the Echo Friendly loop anyway.

Ford has bigger plans tho, in the near future, -they will be hiring, "new hires". That's GREAT news around here.

Um you do realize that 99.9% of MGDs posts are pure sarcasm. Right, I know sarcasm doesn't translate well through text but that's why he bolded the IFs just an FYI.

You don't NEED fancy heads to make torque. All you need is cubic inches and a long stroke.

GASP!!! Are those SPARK PLUG WIRES I see in the pic of the 6.2?

Not really, -I don't understand a little over half of his posts on average = 59.9%, - sometimes lose interest completely . I have nothing against a chemical imbalance and write it off as my own

Then head to the fridge

Ouch! Yea standard for the V8 is 2.9 hrs for labor. So that's what ,about -$250 in labor. Not sure what plugs are 4-5 bucks maybe ? Say 6 bucks , so that's 300 on average for a V8.

700 is crazy.

Must be a pre-head redesign V-10 and they are planning on breaking a few.

I would definitely do that myself if that were my truck. $50 tops for plugs. go out and buy a set of coils on e-bay for $100 new coils and plug $150 half a day in the garage and make $550..

Uhh, no. That's a 3v - plugs are more than 5 bucks each and a set of 10 DG511's is more than $100. Have a Lisle tool available and follow the TSB.
