5.0 to 7.3, how hard would it be?

I was planning on selling my truck sometime within the next year and buying a diesel, but I started thinkin why not just buy a used 7.3, have it rebuilt, and drop it in. Ofcourse, at the same time I would also upgrade the suspension and axles (and pretty much rebuild it into a 250/350). How hard would it be? considering the bodys of the f150/f250/f350 with the obs trucks are the same I know it would fit, and could I just buy engine mounts from a 250/350 and use them or would I have to make my own?

It would be much easier to drop a 12v cummins in than the powerstroke. The 7.3 is long, wide heavy and tall. You will need to sas the truck, that is a $4k project minimum for a GOOD setup on d60 front and sterlin rear. The cummins is tall but narrow, with abody lift you wouldnt have to cut much of the firewall or tunnel for clearance, then you have the simplicity of the cummins to your advatage. This is a very expensive project but would be fun. Id recommend a 4bt cummins they can make plenty of power/tq and you could retain your ifs for the time being.
