Leslie extractor tool??

I'm trying to build up the nerve to change my plugs so I've been reading everyone's horror stories and was wondering what a leslie extractor tool is. Can anybody help me out? I did use the search...BTW I have an 05 screw with the 5.4 I had a #5 cyl misfire last night and the truck has 98k miles on it. Thanks

I purchased one ( Lisle 65600) and have used it on five broken plugs from three different trucks. I can't say enough about the tool it works like a charm. I had a couple different variatons of plug breakage and in all cases it saved my ***. Very easy to use even on the last plugs on either bank. Great product.

I'm calling my dealer tomorrow before I invest in the tool. If it's not too pricey I'm just going to let them do it.

Well $400 dollars later for labor at the dealer and $160 for champion plugs I think I'm all set. I know everyone reccomends motorcraft plugs but I really didn't want to take a chance of any breaking on me in the future. I did have to swap one of the champions out because it was misfiring right out of the box so I'll just keep my fingers crossed!

For that kind of money I'll change them all day long. Eighty bucks for the tool shipped and $80.00 for a set of Motorcraft plugs. Seriously, even if you break a plug or two the tool makes the job a piece of cake. The replacment three piece plugs can break as well as they are the same design as the originals but you need to apply nickle anti seize to the lower sleeve to make future removal easier. Some have had issues with the Champion plugs regarding driveability concerns some have not. Hope they work out for you. Take care.

This is correct,ONLY the factory installed plugs.I have yet to hear of anyone breaking a second set of Motorcraft plugs as long as anti seize is used on the shield area
