New Coils on the way....

Ordered them today from Uneek Supply off eBay at 2:30 est time. They shipped out within 3 hours! Very respectable. I'll keep you guys informed when I get them. Hopefully there won't be any dead ones out of the box

the reason i ask is because SOME users have had problems with getting a bad coil or 2 in the box, so others have started ordering the v10 packs just in case.

more then likely global and Uneek get them from the same source. They might even be the same as motorcrafts. I cant see any difference.

I bought mine from Uneek and after 1200 miles one went bad. I sent him an email and told him and he said just end him the coil and he would replace it. Pretty simple.

I read the same about after market COP's one or two go bad after 1200 miles or so or even out of the box.
Has anyone ever purchased Motor Craft and had the same thing happen?
My 03 has 170K two plug changes and same coils.

You know you should have ordered the V10 package....heck I wouldn't buy another coil from this guy period after the return/refund options he offered me when my coils from him went bad.

Nope, -they don't sell the V-10 packs or GAMMA's. I wouldn't purchase coils from that store. The last two poeple from this site that has, had a bad one in the bunch or maybe more.

I'm tellin yuh 08, - purchase the 10 pack from Global and you'll be a happy camper. The GAMMA's have been improved and these have a -0- failure rate.

If you get a bad one (you won't) I'll cover yuh. Quote me on that.

These are what you want and I'll back'em up. Just install them like I said and you won't have a problem.

I like MSD coil packs. Not really sure about their COP system coils. Let us know how they work out for yuh.

Accel, Granitelli, Moto Blue, WeaponX, Duralast are the coils to steer clear from. Over priced headaches lol.

Brew, it looks like these days, Uneek is the place to get cops - after reading about Global's poor customer service and Uneek's good customer service.

https://www.f150online.com/forums/v8...utomotive.html

I bought a set of coils on march 4th from global automotive. I installed them in our shop on March 20th. I put about 250 miles on it and developed a miss again as seen here....Yet another mysterious 5.4 miss....
I swapped out the plugs and still had the miss so i started eliminating Coils one at a time and cylinder #2 was dead. So I swapped the coil with one of my known good ones that I took out and she runs like a charm. Now the fun part. I contacted Global and was told to send in my Paypal reciept AND a copy of the invoice from a PROFESSIONAL shop that did installation. I explained to them that I did my own install yet they insisted, to honor the warranty, I had to have an invoice. So, I got my boss to make me an invoice for my shop time. sent it in and now they wont honor the warranty. They said its not an acceptable invoice....even though its the invoice ALL of our customers get. GLOBAL AUTOMOTIVES CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS. They don't state that a 3rd party mechanic has to install their coils. You can NOT install your own coils and keep your warranty in tact. Just want everyone to have a heads up. You can get a good look at a T-bone steak by sticking your head up a bulls ***, but id rather take the butchers word for it. Global Automotive has NO warranty on their coils yet they claim to.....I hope they go broke
As compared to Norm's post above:

I bought mine from Uneek and after 1200 miles one went bad. I sent him an email and told him and he said just end him the coil and he would replace it. Pretty simple.
