Blue shouldn't have an issue, his new 04 has 8 thread heads.

8 threads - 9 threads - close enough for government work. Much better than 4 threads!

You should still torque them dry to 28 ft/lb.

yea WAY much better than 4, everyone i told about my blow out, i said yea they only put 4 threads to hold the plugs in..."WHAT THE (BEEP)??!?!"

Well when the heads first went into production, the spark plugs had only 5 threads or so, -Motorcraft, Autolite, Champion. It wasn't just Ford heads or Ford model plugs either, from what I recall. Iduno, I was taught along time ago to use the rubber hose method when installing plugs into an aluminum head and tapperd plugs were measured by turn, not torque lol.

However, I do recall the 460 plugs had quite a few threads, - way back when lol.

If I'm not mistaken, 460's had iron heads.

Yes 460's only came from the factory with IRON heads...

my 460 didn't throw plugs it threw 3 pistons 2 rods bent one into a U shape couldn't find half the cam...

Yea, I wasn't referring to the 460 heads in particular,- I was just commenting on the plugs for the 460. Seemed like it took forever to spin those plugs down lol.

its a v8 again..still got a slight miss hopefully i can get that fixed today!
