misfire and sputter

I bought my truck maybe 6 weeks ago. When I did I decided to a nice tune up (oil, tranny fluid, plugs, filters, ext ext)
I had a friend change my spark plugs. A few days later i had a check engine light for cylinder 8 misfire. In a bind for time (was going TDY out of the state) i bought new wires but only change them for cylinder 6 and 8. The problem went away.

I got back yesterday and started driving the truck today. I would notice that when I came to a stop and was in drive id feel a lite vibration from the engine. Eventually the vibration became stronger and the engine began to studder; check engine light comes on. I take it to get checked and cylinder 6 is misfiring. The firestone guy checks it out and said one the wire was a little lose and when he tightened it the problem went away. No more than 10 minutes after leaving i come to a stop at a traffic light and the sputtering/ shaking begins again. No check engine light though. I notice it only does it in drive when im at a stop. If i put it in park, the RPM's go up a bit and it doesnt do it.

I'm really uncomfortable driving this damn truck. Im supposed to be driving it cross country to my next assignment in 19 days.

Thoughts?

What kind of plugs did he put in? If not Motorcraft get them out. Also use plenty of dielectric grease in the boots.

im not sure but i dont think they were motorcraft.. he said they were the right material though (nickle i think it was perhaps). think i should just have a legit shop redo it?

is there anything else i should make sure is done or look out for?

I put a lot of grease on the two wires i did. they also cam pre-greased.

You may have used too much grease. If they came pregreased, you don't need more.

You should only use Motorcraft plugs and wires. Anything else is taking a chance.
