Okay so other than a little work on coil packs does everything else work ? Fuel rails , sencers, cooler lines ? Oh and yes the 05 4.6 is out of a truck.

There could be other things. oil filter relocation pulleys perhaps some sensors. I think it will work though with some work..

So I have an 02 Mustang GT with the 4.6L 2v, and a 99 Expedition XLT 4.6L Triton. Should I be able to pull the engine from my Mustang and drop it directly into the Expedition and go without any modifications, or will I have to make some changes? I'm relatively new to digging deep under the hood 😅😅

Oil pan and intake manifold would have to stay with the vehicle

99 4.6 is plug wires
02 is PI engine with COP

Yes, you have to use the cops. You cannot use the 03 plenum, you need to use the 97 manifolds. The 03 is PI, the 97 is not. Different heads and manifolds.

Yes, but you probably will not be able to use the 02 flywheel.

I believe so. New flywheels are not expensive.

This may be a good time to replace the clutch and associated parts while the engines are out. Pressure plate, disc, slave/throwout bearing, pilot bearing, and rear main seal.

Between 02 and 03, I would assume it will either plug and play or not be too difficult to modify.

I would still put a new rear main seal and pilot bearing in the donor engine and new flywheel.
