I was resaerching about the injectors on my 05 f150 and saw they extended the coverage on them (Customer Satisfaction Program 07m08) but what is the mileage and year experation on it. Online I have found threads saying 120,000 mile or 11 years. I tlked to the dealership today and he said he thought it expired at 100,000. I have 110850 miles on mine so I am trying to figure it out when I bought it they replaced the cat on the drivers side never told me this could have been the cause now the cat is rattling again and researched found all this stuff out. If anyone can verify mileage exp. it would greatly help thank you.

I didn't reread the letter, but if I remember correctly, you need to find a new dealer.

He did say he couldnt recall I get very good service there the manager a good friend resigned a while back this new guy is so so that why I research everything and he is like uh oh ok let me check. But the owner Ken Wilson of Ken Wilson Ford is one of my best friends so they are really good to me there. Thanks for the letter I will show him it. They should cover my cat too correct?

They should be able to test the injectors and determine if there is a leak. If there is, yes, the replacement of teh cat should be covered. Stealth had his engine hydrolock and got a new short block. Good luck!

Thanks evveryone for the help its going in Wed. to get me new ranchos on, got a deal $80 installed. So they are going to check it out then and look at the cat but the last cat was replaced less than 12 months ago. So we will see. Thanks for the letters from ford will print and show that to him. Great Info NCSU!! I've been looking for something (here and there), that confirmed just "who's" cost it would be if the vehicle owner brought their truck in for an injector check.

I know you have had the Flat Rate Tech link for awhile. I have that one Marked/Saved as well. Yea, I missed the injector link, but it's your damn fault.

You might want to push the Injector link to the top, -under your sig. That's a quick read lol.

 

Bluejay should just make it a sticky for a while, until the 2005 5.4's get up there in mileage and years. It's a pretty common subject.

Well got a call first thing this morning saying injectors and cat is good. Cam phasers were bad. It would cost $1600.00 I laughed said either way its covered with my esp I bought with the truck so fix it and anything else you might find since all internals are covered, nothing else wrong but it sounds so nice withought the rattle. Thanks to everyone for the help.
