Truck Sounds Like It's Cutting Out

I have a 2005 F150 FX4 5.4L Roush Charger (VMP 93 Perf Tune) with 67k
(you can see the rest of my mods in my sig).

When it just sits at idle the RPM's drop to the point it sounds like the engine has shut off, then all the sudden it will go back up to normal.. It does this almost in a cycle...

Truck runs fine driving around highway/city.. Only problem I have had with it dying on me is about a year ago it died twice as I was pulling into a parking lot (incidents were about a month a part). There has been a couple times where I'll turn or come to a stop and it sounds a little sluggish but then pops right back to normal RPM's

It almost sounds like the fuel is getting temporary getting cut off but then comes right back on.. I honestly cannot remember if this has been doing it as long as I have had the truck, but It has been doing it recently.. and I do remember it doing it this past winter.

I have a Scangauge II, and I am getting no codes... Is there a setting that I should be looking at during idle to help narrow it down? But last summer I did clean the throttle body (I followed a How-To on here.. but it wasn't in bad shape). I am by no means a mechanic.

Is this a common problem or quick fix (yeah right!)...

I'm honestly not sure if the plugs have been changed or what all was done to the truck by the previous owner. He or someone else installed the Roush before I purchased the truck. So not all sure what was done.

Yeah, I'm not sure what it is... It does seem as if it has been getting slightly worse since mid winter... May have to bite the bullet and take it in to have it checked out..

Try replacing your fuel filter and see if that helps. It sounds like that might be the problem.
