New motors

Alrite did a search didn't rly find anything tho. So i guess ford is replacing the 4six with the 5oh and the 5four with the 6two. My question is what the difference in the two. im not sure but i kno the 5oh for the mustang is going to be rated at 412hp. ive read the 6two is rated at 411hp. I kno the torque is a little more for the 6two like 434lb's compared to like 400 i think for the 5oh. I luv that they r coming out with these new motors, just curious about them. i guess the 6two's power band will be lower in the rpm range just like the 4six and 5four are now. I don't rly kno if these are questions, just wanna talk about the new motors, i'm excited! The two engines seem like they r going to make the same power roundabout, i don't like that, they need to beef up the 6two sum more!

they are both out for sale now i've seen both already. 5.0 is DOHC and 6.2 is SOHC. That 6.2 in the Superduty can pull a load very very well.

I'll take the 6.2 over my blown 5.4, and I'll take that super sweet 5.0 for my 67 fairlane gta with the complimenting 6spd trans.

Cant wait to see a 6.2 BOSS swapped. Especially if its the HO version with 500hp. Apparently they share the same bell housing pattern. Not that I would want to bolt one up to the 4r70w, atleast not a stock one. But would be interesting to see.

I don't know if I could deal with having to change 16 spark plugs though.

And the 5.0 has a bad *** new look to it, and very well looks like a hand full of potential. Be nice to see what either of them put down with forged internals and a blower.

i heard 12.7 quarters out of the new 5.0 GT. A mechanic i go to, said 12.6 on street radials and 12.3 on slicks! Thats pretty good if its true. I'm really glad. I also heard that there was going to be 2 different versions of the 5.0, one makin over 500hp The 4.6 and 5.4 where both good motors reliability wise but just didn't have it when it came to performance needs imo. I heard dodge is replacing there 6.1 with a 6.4 and its gonna be up around 500+hp. Prolly won't put it in a truck tho altho they might let the replaced 6.1 replace the 5.7 in hte trucks which means somewhere around 425hp. Looks like the horsepower wars are back guys!!!
