What else is needed?
It was rebuilt by AER in Carrolton. The guy I bought it from got it on a deal where a guy owed him money but couldn't pay him. I picked it up in a guy's hangar at Meacham airport in Ft. Worth...it was stored in a heated and cooled environment. The engine is clean enough to eat off of!

The guy said he's had it for sale for awhile but I was the first person to come look at it. He said he was asking $4500, then reduced to $3800, then $3000.

Well, that's cool, - I'm sure that will be allot of fun.
Better build that tranny

Congrats :santa:
Unfortunately the goats were hunted down in the pasture last night and the coyote got them. The lama had a heat stroke the following days since the farmer in the sombrero forgot to give her water, so I fired him (hats gone). Kids ate all the popcorn and the neighbors monkey robbed the house last night and took the last banana so I'm going to have to pass on the trade.
On the serious side..
Indeed. Cleanest I've ever seen. Congrats. Going to be a big step from that 4.6L

If it were me, I'd find a trans and have it built. Rear end as well. Better order your tune
I'm gonna be keeping the motor pretty stock though...not going to up the boost much or anything. Might do a pulley swap and tune, but I would think the rods should hold up on a pretty much stock motor.
And yes, I'm either going to pick up another tranny and have it built or have mine built during the swap.
I have an edge already...do you think I can send it in to PHP and they can load the correct tune on it? Or do I need to buy another programmer?

They might have Livewire, = download files online. Yea, you'll have to inquire. Start a thread about it here for answers -

a kick down from 4th to 2nd will break 'em easily
same as a WOT shift from 3rd into 4th
they are the same crappy powder cast rods the other 5.4 truck motors get

Your just NOT supposed to do that anyway, period.

I wont even do it with a built block and built 4r100 tranny. That stuff is just way to expensive!
