going to do the other 7 saturday, see how it compares. crazy thing i used the sea foam and it didnt miss for 30 or so miles of driving, starting and stopping and now when it does mis its not as hard,if that makes since. are you thinking mechaical problem instead of electrical? was looking at it yesterday and i think i would rather pull 5.9 back out of the dodge before this thing.

Do all 8 of them, including the 1 you did. The best accurate test across all 8 cylinders is done with the same variables, whether it be engine temperature, battery power or things like that. Its best to do all 8 consecutively with ALL the plugs out. Make sure you shut the fuel pump down, either by relay or inertia switch. You want to listen for the compression stroke to come around 3 to 4 times I believe, and use that for every cylinder.

It would be a lot easier to eliminate the coils if they were coils known to work for our trucks... But since youve switched them and the misfire didn't move.... and all connections looks good and test good then you move on to this compression check. Something is fouling that cylinder. And since 125 seems low, I would check the rest of them, but all 8 at once so its accurate.

checked compression today, average was 140. with low at 135 and high about 145 ish. ran motor flush and more seafoam. not missing as hard and not as often, changed fuel filter, oil and filter used 5w-20. when i was putting the air filter in it was running and had a very faint low tone noise from air intake. if it was carb motor i would say a valve not seating and it was popping back. could it have had alot of carbon build up on valves? i have not taken best of care on oil changes, and used rotella 30w diesel oil, cause everything else i have is diesel trucks and equipment. ran a rescue call today guy pinned under a farm tractor and got to get on the interstate and open it up lights siren and all and it seams to run better. any better idea on cleaning motor with out tearing into it.

It may be running better but what happened to this? The p0356 ( Ignition Coil F Primary/Secondary Circuit ) couldnt have been fixed by seafoam or new fuel filter.

I'm at a loss for words when it comes to your oil issues.
Someone else may want to have a crack at that.

Use to much of that seafoam through the brake booster like that and you can say bye bye to your 02's and cats. Next time if you want a good cleaning, go to the dealership (unfortunately) or a certified shop that uses a Motorvac system. Thats the best way. Keep a good oil filter (motorcraft..wix) no frams (orange can of death) and I would consider running the recommended 5/20 if you want that thing to last. Some of that thought to be valve noise your hearing can be other common issues affiliated with incorrect oil viscosity. If you run into a few extra hours of time, pull the throttle body and clean that including the egr port. Also clean the IAC while you have it off. Did you clean the MAF? I forget, if not then keep that clean. Hrmm. not sure what else other than standard fuel filters and plugs.

You must be volunteer fire/rescue?
Sounds intense... Was there serious injuries? Tractors don't play around, nothing like being trapped under 30,000lbs. You use air bag lifts to lift the tractor?

BG is also a good system - and you will find a lot more of those than Motorvac in this part of the country, BG is headquartered in Wichita KS.

Using straight 30 weight oil in a Triton is a major no-no unless it's already seriously worn. The clearances are just too tight and you will get accelerated wear on cold starts.
