What would be causing my truck to smoke on start up? This doesnt happen all the time. It seems like if I start the truck and move out of my driveway and then stut it off and then a little while later I start it up to move it back in the driveway - it smokes... (being started for short periods - then sits - then starts back up).

Anyomne have any idea? Had experience like this? Thanks.

What color is the smoke and what does it smell like?

The 2 most likely things are valve guide seals (oil) and sticky injectors (fuel). Valve seals are nothing to worry about, but sticky injectors are. The 05 5.4 has an extended warranty on the injectors and is a common problem.

 

Smoke seems to be blueish (like oil)...

 

Would the valve seals or the sticky injectors create blueish smoke? What about just a white (almost like starting on a cold morning) but when its 85 degrees outside?

 

Those are valve seals. Oil is getting past them into the combustion chamber. No big deal unless it's burning a quart of oil in less than 1000 miles.
