Coy, the tuners take up more juice on start-up and I think the trucks require like 12v or so (I feel like I read that on here?) Go with your cut and replace that bad boy. Mine lasted 6 years.

And no. The tuner does not take more juice at startup.
Yer interior lamp draws more than that.....

Code58 covered some of this -
The majority of car batteries are created by 3 manufacturers - Delphi, Exide and Johnson Controls Industries. Delphi makes some EverStart models sold in Walmart and ACDelco. Johnson Control Industries makes Duralast seen in Autozone stores, Diehard - sold in Sears, Kirkland - the Costco brand, Motorcraft - which Ford sells, some of the EverStarts, and Interstate. Exide makes Exide batteries, Champion, Napa and even a % of the EverStart batteries. A car battery is one of the few things that you will most likely have to replace if you own a car more than about 3 years. Most other parts and accessories will last longer, but the battery in a car needs replacing every 3 years or so. If you need to get a new battery installed, go to Goodyear, Sears, Firestone or Pep Boys. All these car stores carry large inventories and can install your battery onsite. Other retailers like Target, Kmart, and Walmart might offer cheaper prices for their batteries, but rarely do they install them.

update
well i went friday morning and had oreillys check the battery and it turned out bad, so i went and got a Everstart from walmart and took off on our trip. About 90 miles out in abilene heard a horrible sound and pulled over and the alternator had froze and took the belt with it. So got a New Everstart, New Alternator and a gatorback belt. She good as new now
Geezzz, what's the chances of all that happening at once lol. Well, glad you got her fixed. I would get a new tensioner as well. Actually, if you go to the Gaterback informational @ Rock auto, that will inform you as to why you should change the tensioner at the same time you install a new belt. Tensioners aren't that much and it's good preventative maintenance.
Personally, I'd replace the idler as well. When they go, it could take a chunk out of your Timing chain cover. Sounds like it's time for that.
