the yellow sludge you see is probably just from condensation inside the motor..it is completely normal.

the knock is probably normal as the first (2004)3v 5.4s (if yours is a 5.4) are known for that

the rear end however, i have no idea

could be..if it was worked hard it may be time for new bearings..i dont think the limited slip additive would help that clank you hear..

You must be using a damn phone and driving at the same time to type your posts because it's so damn hard to follow what you saying with zero punctuation and typos that I just can't follow it past the "goo" on the oil cap.....

Here's an interesting link to a video that demonstrate different sounds coming from the 5.4.

Go down the list and choose: episode 22 5.4 VCT Theory & Operation

The clutch packs are notorious for going out in that model, I have an 04 supercrew and when turning sharply from a stop it used to grind and bind up sp I added an anti slip additive and knock on wood but it hasn't came back yet and that was 10k ago.

If the yellow sludge is on the dipstick then you got problems. If it's only on the cap just wipe it off.
Look under the truck-if there is a Fram oil filter then get it out of there.
If it isn't blowing white exhaust or using up coolant then you're probably OK.
Just chill out and take it one piece at a time.
Goodluck!
