BAD IAC Valve

Can a Bad IAC valve can cause such poor idle that the engine turn off

You can try cleaning it before replacing using throttle body cleaner.

while you're in there, go ahead and pull the throttle body to clean it and get as much of the intake manifold as you can.

Make sure you locate and clean the clogged up egr inlet on the throttle body elbow if you do pull the whole thing and clean it.
