Did Ford change the spark plug situation from those rediculous three piece nightmares to a more standard plug? Also, are there any issues that the 2004 engines had that they supposedly worked out in the 2009+ engines? I am really just asking because I don't want to buy another set of avoidable issues in a 2010 if I decide that it is time to trade and upgrade.

They did redesign the heads in 08. Its said the cam phaser issue has been resolved but I havent seen what it is they did to fix it. The use a regular looking plug now.
