4.6 oil change

Just changed my buddies oil in a 03 4.6. He went way over the interval not sure how long but was complaining of a ticking sound. We drained the pan and it had less than 1qt in it. Motor still ran fine.

Now with proper ammount of oil ticking is gone.....

what an idiot

I know people that do that....Mostly girls though.Although my buddy thinks the amsoil that his mechanic put in will last 1 year in his 350Z (Its what the mech told him) And he paid $150 for the oil change..

If you're talking about the 1 year oil change....What is one year though? Some people can put 15k/year, others 50k/year...Doesnt sound like good change intervals...

Well I own both. I figure if you follow the oil change interval you will be fine. My Ford is SOLID, way better built than the Chevy. My buddy obviously does not follow the manual. My ford burns about a .5 qt every 3000 miles.
