Broken COP Connector

Last night I changed the plugs in my wife's 05 Explorer 4.6. Everything went well except I broke one of the COP connectors. I zip tied it until I can find a permanent fix. I am calling local dealership today for hopefully a price on a pigtail. Anyone else have any ideas either OEM or aftermarket? All that broke on the connector was the tab you press in to release. Seemed to me it broke way to easy, I guess heat made it brittle. The connector will plug into the COP no problem just won't lock on.

the hot and cold fluctations on the plastic makes it brittle. leave it ziptied. cutting the harness is a pain in the a**.

Dealer can order them for 25.00 a piece. I thought about going to a junkyard trying to find any ford vehicle with cops and just getting one there, then trying to remove the wires from my broken connector and then just replacing the plastic from the junkyard connector with the wires on mine.

I used 2 ties. First goes around back of cop and back of connector, pulling connector tight onto cop. Second goes solely around connector, holding first tie down, I thought it would keep first tie in place due to vibration of the motor.
