I have a 2001 f150 with the 4.6. When its really cold out and my truck has been sitting a while the oil preasure gague doesent move until it wamrs up a little bit the it goes to the normal position in the middle. It doesent run any different when the oil preassure gague reads no preasure, does anyone know what my problem could be.

The 01s (and other years) suffered from sensors that stuck when cold. I would replace the sensor. I had to do mine. Once it warms up it works fine. There is a TSB that explains this.

This thread tells you where it is, and even has a picture.

Depending on which one you have, it's between 10 and 30 bucks.

it could be that your "sensor" is sticking and needs replacing but first off you have to understand that its not a sensor at all, its a switch. and your guage in your truck aint reading sheeit. take a look at this thread... https://www.f150online.com/forums/v8...iot-gauge.html
