Still the misfire problem..

alright, well last week the truck developed misfire at idle, ran rough..really fell on its face in OD. took it to shop, on the tester it had code PO355. So this past week i changed plugs(stayed with same plug as factory) and new Accel coils. got everything back together tonight(after 6 of 8 plugs broke off) and went for a drive.. still the same thing. Plan to take it to shop again tomorrow because light came back on. But what could this be? any ideas?

injector, wiring issue or internal engine problem-bad valve snaped ring.
Accel coils really aren't that great you should have got the cheap e-bay ones. Swap the injector if that dont fix it then do a compression test.

I have the same problem with 2006 5.4L I have replaced the coil, injector and spark plugs. But the miss keeps coming back. I'm thinking its in the wiring.

What cylinder is your miss?

Oh yeah I bought a set of remaned injectors on E-bay and they have been great. whole set for less then $150 or so (cant remember) if you can live without it you could go that way probably take a couple weeks for them to show up. rock auto will ship monday so you could have a single injector in a few days.

I just recently replaced the injectors in my 97 4.6 with cheap ebay remanufactured set. It did improve the idle quality and seems to be about 1 mpg better than it was before the swap. I only paid about $110 shipped for 8 injectors that are the better 4-hole style Bosch injectors. My old injectors did look pretty rough with 138K.
