Any thing you do to add a few MPG is going to cost you You can do those thing or just spend the money on gas. Works out the same pretty much. Keep your truck in top working order make sure you got the right air pressure those things will save you money. Spending money to save money takes along time to reap positive benefit if it ever does.

We even sleep in the barn on cots, the body heat from his horses keep it fairly warm in there if you can stand the smell... Come to think of it I believe some of the horses smell better than some of the guys...Wish I could tell you how to get 18-20 miles a gallon with your truck but there are so many variables like outside temperature, wind. altitude, tires, etc. By the way why would you want to hunt in another state? Colorado is a hunters dream come true.
Yeah it is a great state, but WY is better for antelope, and NE is better for turkey, plus we like to go to ND for some more goose hunting.

The aerodynamic drag from a trailer will kill gas mileage. Slowing down is the best way to improve your mileage.
