So when I reassembled everything after replacing the head gaskets on my truck I forgot to plug in the knock sensor that's under the intake manifold. I tried to get to the plug but being behind the motor, between the block and firewall I can't get to it without removing the intake manifold again.

My question is, will it be alright to run without the knock sensor for a week or so until I have time to pull the manifold off again? I know it senses for pinging and will pull timing to stop it, but will I hurt anything running without it for a short while? Just want to be sure on how important having the knock sensor plugged in is.
