What will happen if thermostat stuck open

If the thermostat stuck at open position what could be the effect? Can it affect the spin of the water pump? Could it cause the water pump to spin more slowly?

no it will have no effect on the water pump but it wont allow the engine to get to the proper operating temp.

Correct...the engine may be extremely slow to warm up, but most likely this time of year would not warm up to normal operating temps at all. Heat wont work good, fuel mileage will suck butt.
