the ones i paid for were about $35-40. its not easy to get it out and reusable. it took me a lot of slow working it back and forth with a screwdriver gently under the lip.

its not worth it to try to pry it out. Its soft and it bends... you pry it it will distort it and it will leak.. get a new one... even better, get a circ type pump!!!!!

I just wanted my truck to have what it had before.. I rarely use it. Just wanted to keep its original stuff. I have the plug that goes in the wiring harness and all. Now it will still function. When I have used it I notice it really dont work all that great.. It wasnt really worth it but I did it..

they make a big difference... its all about warm-up time on gassers... diesels ofcourse need them to even start, but it helps gassers warm up quick, especially with our alum heads n cast block, they heat up differently and thats what blows headgaskets... keepin the block warm helps with heat up so the block n heads stay around the same temp

I've never tried to remove an old one, and I've never seen one on a modular engine, so are yours different from this diagram, or do they just gum up THAT badly?

they gum up real bad. Several I have removed from powerstrokes and have wired wheeled them up nice and clean.
