changing oil brands?

i normally use Quaker state Torque Power 4x4 & truck full synthetic but for some reason that have stopped selling it around the house. i was wondering what everyonelse is using? i would like to keep using a full synthetic but with so many brands out there is any one better than the next?

How often do you change? If you change every 3 - 5K you can use any oil that meets Ford Specs. If you want to go longer you can chose the Motorcraft blend for up to 7500 or Amsoil's XL for the same interval. The XL also has the API starburst for those that care about that.

Pick a brand- yeah, it's that easy. Just see that it has the Ford spec on the back of the bottle and you can't buy a better oil. If you're changing at recommended intervals, synthetic buys you nothing but a lighter wallet. At one time, about 20 years ago, synthetics would flow better at cold start up and take a lot more heat. Those days are gone just like the Model T and leaded gas. Just pick a brand you like, use the recommended viscosity, change at the recommended mileage, don't pay a lot for it, sit back and enjoy the ride.

Just hit 130,000 miles on my 02 so it's time for it's 5,000 mile oil change with Motorcraft's 5-20 oil and 820 filter and I'm good to go until 135,000.

Can't beat 11 bucks for a 5 Qt jug too.

Just avoid Quaker State! That stuff is like pouring sludge into your motor from the start.
