2003-1999 5.4 swap

I found an engine I think will work in my truck an 03 with only 41k I need to know right away if its a direct swap other then intake? goin to pick it up tomorrow so i can swap engines this weekend. I need to know for sure before I pick it up. I'm 90 percent sure it will work but I just want input..

it should be a direct swap. i dont think there were any differences between the 2.

It will fit in the truck like a glove. Just use your 99 metal intake on the new engine. You have to remove the intake manifold to remove and install anyways.

Most of the time you can. I have reused mine.

They look reusable. Got the intake off the new engine.

Got the old one pulled today. The new one goes in tomorrow.

looks like they changed the pulleys. Had to change all those to and I had to use a washer on the idler pully to space it so it would fit. Down to reinstalling the intake and stuff today. Should have it running late today I hope..
