Fuel filter life also depends on the quality of fuel you buy. I always buy from top tier stations that are busy all the time.

I am on my 3rd filter in 138K miles. It should be changed more often than that but it has not affected my mileage. My truck has always topped out at around 17 highway and 15 mixed.

I change mine at about 20,000. Changed the one on my wife's 2000 Expedition, today. It was 10 years old. Only 8,770 miles though. LOL Also changed the coolant, for the first time.

You should let her out of the house more often

The fuel pump in my 97 has over 200k on it.
The 98 my Son drives is on #3, but I'm sure he buys gas at the cheapest place he can find.

Sure I did.

What's not funny is that I have to take her everywhere and put miles on my truck!

We have a 2000 Expedition that still has the new car smell. You can count the times it's been washed on your fingers.

Smart woman. I only get to drive my wife's car when it needs gas. Then she has $50 extra in her pocket
