hi i have a 2000 f 150 xtl 4*4 with a 4.6 engine my truck is in great shape for the mileage. it has 331,180 miles on it, it's starting to get noisy it doesn't burn oil and i keep it changed with valvoline max life, i think the noise sounds like maybe a timing chain tensioner it's like a click click noise and getting louder im in the upstate of sc and would like to know what it would take to swap a 5.4 in it and the best place to get a used engine what year ect... thank you for your help chris.

 

Are you sure you don't have a loose spark plug? It also may just be an exhaust leak.
