i read on a couple mustang sites that the bell housing wont fit right. the 5.8 was never in a 97+ f150 so you'd have to make yourself some motor mounts. you'd need the computer and wire harness and icm for the 5.8. its hard to say what it would take to do the whole swap. it'd be alot of wiring and fabricating to make it work but it can be done. IMO stick to a modular engine. i'd look for a 99-03 5.4 2v and get it tuned.
