Speedo now reads to 160 mph.

Yup. I reconfigured my Metric speedo to read in MPH. All I needed to do was change the Gear ratio and revs per mile in my Xcal II to different numbers and my Metric speedo now indicates MPH where it was previously KPH. It will take a little getting used to but I grew up with MPH.

Why did I do it? Because I was tired of my speedo being pegged at 160 km/hr (100mph). Now I have it indicating all the way to 160 mph. I'll let you know if I get it to peg the new reading.

.

yea after about 100 things start ratting and shaking that didnt used to.

Kinda cool tho, now you just need to go in and remove the KMPH from the face of the gauge :o

just curious what settings did you set it to, and is it accurate mileage reading or just close?

1 Kilometer = .6214 miles. I did my conversion using BFGs site for revs per mile of 630. I input 4.54 gears and 790 revs per mile and that gave me .62084 miles per km. That makes the calculations 99.99% accurate. I can live with that. Weather or not BFG ATs in the 305 70R16 size actually turn at 630 revs per mile I do not know.

Jean Marc Chartier.

PS the fastest I have been in my truck is somewhere shy of the 130 mph mark. Or was that 140???

But that would cost $$$ and a trip to the dealer. I could always reface this one with a stick on of some sorts. Interesting idea...... Thanks for the thought jogger.
