My truck did it again last night, under full throttle it just shuts off, no response from acc. pedal, wrench light on dash came on. Had to turn off key & restart, then it runs ok, wrench light off. Happened a couple months ago & local dealer replaced the electronic throttle control body, it showed a trouble code. This time he said no code so they didn't do anything, he said it could be your Edge Insight, which I don't think it is. Anyone else have this problem or any advice? I suspect it is a computer problem.

 

edge programmers have caused a bunch of weird issues with the drive by wire systems. has it only done it once since it was fixed the last time?

i dont know anything about the edge insight so, can you view all the parameters? and check codes with it? see if you can get a code out of it right when it happens next time.

 

Yes, one can view almost everything, also can check codes. Couldn't do it this time, had to get it refired & out of the way before I could do that. Last time it did it the Edge didn't show a code but when I took it to the dealer their machine picked one up, (throttle body fault). Hopefully next time it does it I'll be able to coast off & check it before refiring.
