Engine is running rough now....

Engine is running rough now....

I washed the engine very carefully today and now the check engine light is on and is running really rough. What did I do??

No idea how do can you tell? THe engine light came on and I took the positive cable off to reset it but it still ran rough (figured it would). I guess I'll try to pull the coil packs and see if water is in there.

what are you driving? year? motor? mileage? you need to have someone read the codes with a scanner or a code reader. autozone will do it for free for obd2 systems anywhere except california.

2001 Harley. I had a crack coil pack and a water got in there and shorted it out.

Humm washing motor is now a form of preventive maintenance LOL. Well $50-$60 later you are as good as new.
