look at the paschal performance or scat FORGED stroker crank kits (around 2 grand for the 6.0 kits)

then have your heads worked, springs, valves and get custom cams and your all set once you get the fuel system up to par

well my motor plan is to twin turbo it. So i want to build it to handle some boost. i was checking out the scat forged stroker kits last night.

Im not farmiliar with the aftermarket world on these 5.4L's. So anything that is for a 331ci motor will work for me? it seems like i find alot more stuff when i search for a 331 motor than 5.4L.

And for heads, does anyone make aftermarket ones? or should i just like you said have mine worked on?

O and to answer the other questions, as for ponies, i dont know haha, i just basically want to be able to throw twin turbos on there and not be scared to punch it here and there haha, its not going to be a drag truck or anything because its on 40's. Im building it to be a show truck and im looking at every aspect i need to tackle and gathering my info haha.

Im not on a budget really but i dont want to spend dump loads of cash on this thing haha, im going to use STS's universal twin turbo kit for my turbo's and i wanted to build up the motor to handle them safely.

And another thing, anything i can do with these transmissions? from what i collect on here, they are garbage. any way to build them up to handle tons of power? or is there anoher trans that can be bolted onto the 5.4L?

depends on the 331, some of the pushrod 5.0 motors have the 331 stroker kits, so make sure it's for a 330ci/5.4 to start with...

no one makes an aftermarket head for the 3 valves YET so you're stuck having your stockers worked over for the time being

you can run the torque shift tranny form the superduty trucks but I don't know if can shift faster or not (the extra gear would be nice since it's a 5 speed auto VS the 4r75 being a 4 speed)

or just have your 4r75 worked over by somebody like Darrin Birch

heads? modularheadshop.com Darrin can build the trans the right way.as for the motor? just because it says 331, doesnt mean it will work. you need MODULAR Ford 3V parts.

If you really want it to hold up to power without worrying about it, then upgrade to a 4R100. They're 4 speed just like the 4R70W and 4R75W, they bolt up to the 5.4 motor the same, and they'll handle much more power, especially when built.

Make a call to Sean Hyland Motorsports(519)421-2291, and tell them exactly what you want to do and what you expect out of it and they can set you up with everything you will need. no one knows modulars like Sean and they pretty much pioneered the aftermarket. Sounds like to me you don't want any kind of race truck so save your $$ on any kind of a stroker assembly because twins on any sort of forged bottom end will produce more power and torque than you probably even want. The 3v heads flow very well making power right with the 4v's, so you could save $$ there also by leaving your heads alone unless your just wanting a set of nasty cams which will help a lot but is not necessary unless your wanting around 800-1000hp.
