Hey guys i need a heading for some motor building!
cut a $15,000 check to someone like jim o'neill at renegade racing.
I personally think its going to take a lot more than 15K to make 550RWHP with 40's. Our big tires eat power like you wouldnt believe. I would go with a twin screw personally but if you are dead set on turbos then so be it.
With that being said, there are no aftermarket companys that sell 3V heads, hell Trick Flow just realease there 2V heads which are the first NON Ford heads produced. I would send your heads off to port and polish to somebody that knows what they are doing cause you can over port. Look into Micheal @ L&M Engines
Your going to want to get a built short block with all the good stuff. Manley Rods, Manley Pistons, ARP Studs, Forged Crank, etc........
The tranny.......built will handle alot of power!!!! Mustang guys in the XXXX power digits are using the 4R70W. Just looks into a good performance tranny shop to do it for you.
Fuel System research what is out for your year truck! Your going to need at least dual 255 pumps and 60# Injectors.
Then your going to need to find a good tuner which man be hard to find depending on where you live.
Sorry for the long post but im just trying to be realistic. I put a L blower on my stock N/A block (317RWHP/402RWTQ) and after 1.5Yrs and bout a dozen passes down the 1320 i melted #2 piston. I was looking into go built and making big power as you are. After about 2 months of research what it takes i decided to go with a L block. It takes ALOT of money to do so even more so being that our tires arent lite. Mine are 38s and with the rims are 135 a pop. If you got it by all means go for it but i would think about it and research alot before pulling the trigger on this build!
Also, having that kinda power and being as fast as it would be if you did have 550RWHP your going to need to upgrade to a Big Brake Kit.
I dont mean to be negitive i am just trying to point everything out to you being as i was in your boat couple months ago.

With ported heads ,a little more aggressive cams and twin turbos you should have no problem making 500-550 rwhp.
Now theses guys that tell you (Mustang guys are making big power with a 4r70) have no idea what there talking about!
You have a truck,,NOT a light azz mustang.
The trany will never hold that much power.I don't care who builds it. I know,,Iv been there.
I went through 3 4r70s in 3 years!!!!! And they were all built to race.
You have the 4r75 and it's a little stronger but take my advice. The first time you blow it after it's been built by someone that can build a strong tranny.Don't bother having it built again like I did.Just swap to the bigger tranny before you spend money on 3 rebuilds like I did.

Good luck,,,should be sweet when your done.

Eff One Fifty, just make a call to Sean hyland and eliminate all this guesswork buddy. 550hp is easily doable with twins but even with a 2.3L blower you would be maxing out it's 23-25lbs. limit with your heavy combo. Nothing makes more power and especially torque than turbos and I'd make sure that kit came with around twin 52's intercooled with exhaust A/R's matched to the final engine combo. There is no comparison in the sick factor of turbos and I'm sure you already know that if you've ever been in a turbo car. Turbos don't max out like twin screws and street centrifugals, the more load you place on them the harder they work. And you can save $$ on a gear swap because turbos work better with a numerically smaller gear. It usually costs me around the same these days to buy a short block than it does to build one because nowadays the top shops have there own CNC and balancing machines and eliminates me having to send off a block for machine work or rotating assy. for balancing.
As for trannys, I build my own 4r70w's for our race and street cars and there are not a lot of shops around that really know what it takes to build these trannys up. They throw in hardened input and output shafts, shift kit and raybestos clutches and call it built when that's barely a start. A built 4r75 will hold up but I am a firm believer in OVERKILL. So buy a built 4r100 if it will work with these newer PCMs.

That's awesome! But you also aren't running through a 4x4 x-fer case with 40" tires and 22" wheels and these newer trucks are already a couple hundred lbs. heavier. With all that he's probably at least 800lbs heavier and he won't be spraying. All that rotational mass makes a huge difference. With twin 52's, he'll trump that with unported heads. I've got a black 03 and a white 04 Cobra in my shop now with 2.3's although through stock manifolds, the 04 dyno'ed 609hp @23psi. and the 03, 597hp. I've almost got owner of the 04 convinced to trade in the 2.3 in favor of the 3.4!
I have a 2.3 on my reg. cab 04 and it's fun but It's my car hauler and I'm limited by the stock S/B. I really wanted turbo's but Lethal Performance had some 2.3's in stock they wanted to off load when the economy was so bad and I got it real cheap. I am happy with it, but it's still no turbo.

That 594 was with my 23" rims on,(certainly no 40s)and no nitrous.
I only run the nitrous at the track.
I know the newer trucks are heaver. His truck is probably 7000#s+ with the tiers. And he'll never have any great 1/4 times but should still put down a great dyno # with the build hes planing.
