Another (and simpler) idle question...

Another (and simpler) idle question...

My '07 4.6 STX runs good. However, of late and at idle the RPMs jump around a bit, maybe 200-300 up/down. It doesn't matter whether the transmission is in Drive, Neutral or Park. Also, the idle quality is OK, pretty smooth.

Being a 60's technology kinda guy I'm not familiar with late model electronics. Can this be diagnosed easily with someone with the right electronics/tool? Am I wrong in suspecting a bad sensor of some kind?

clean your IAC valve, that might fix it, its worth a shot.

No IAC 04+. Has a fly by wire throttle control.

I have an 08 mine does this too. I took to a dealer and was told its normal, an all do it. This is only the second time ive heard of this happening. If you find out let me know plz.
