Cruise Control Won't Engage

I recently changed the spark plugs on my 01 SCREW, in the process I had to disconnect some electrical harnesses to make room. After installing everything back in its place, I noticed while on the highway that the cruise control won't engage. Before the "CRUISE" light in my dash would stay on whenever I had the cruise control on. Now when I hit the ON button to turn on the cruise control, the "CRUISE" light on my dash on flickers on, but won't stay on, therefore the cruise won't engage. I checked all the connections under the hood and everything is in it's place. I use the cruise quite often so any suggestions would be helpful, Thanks.

I would take it to the dealer - your recall harness may have gone bad. This is not something to mess with - it's a fire hazard.

Yea, look for the obvious, sounds like you may have kinked the cable? Or something has become disconnected. Yea, just stop by the dealer if you don't see anything wrong.

The light flickering, -sounds like it's trying to engage but can't. - I would check the cable for sure, it's on top and runs under the air intake main tube.

AND- Make sure yours has be updated !!! That's MOST Important. That will cause a fire eventually if it haven't. I'll post some pics of the cable and updated harness. -

Here's an 01 setup, cables on the left. Follow that and make sure it's okay.

Another pic of the cable, but this ones on my 98 (same/like the 01) -

Here's the safety harness. You must have one of these. This harness plugs into the Master cylinder -
