We have a member that's an Amsoil dealer. Gotta give him a plug!

http://www.galaxylubricants.com/

Order from his site and the product will be dropshipped to your door.

No problem, - A good synthetic is really the way to go. I wouldn't add additives to your trans unless your having problems. Red Lube Gaurd is about the only additive that I would use in a healthy trans. My trans was thought to be on it's way out, but I got lucky and was able to save it.

Most third party shops can get you the stuff. Sometimes it's cheaper thru the Internet, you have to shop around. PM or email user Galaxy on this site, he might be able to get you a good deal on Amsoil if that's what you want.

As far as the rear end howl (it was mentioned somewhere back) - they all do that from what I remember. Ford does have a TSB with a parts list to fix - It's extensive and the list and parts came about under warranty work.

There really isn't no reason mechanically to fix, other than the howl at low speeds if it's bothersome. Personally It's hard to notice unless your listening for it. But yea, I have the parts list if anyone needs it.

Luckily Im not experiencing that, but I just wanted to say thanks for telling me about Amsoil(jbrew and glc).

I'd heard about it, but after doing some reading and what not, its apparently one of the better, if not best oils to use because of all of the properties it contains. Talking to Galaxy about it now to place an order.

Once again thanks, these forums are filled with great people haha.

Update -

It was the TC apparently. I had the trans flushed and an additive added in. I have since pulled a 24' travel trailer (4400 lbs) over 250 miles and havnt had any problems. Just wanted to say 'thank you' to everyone for their help!

Update to the update:

Well...yesterday I was leaving a job site when it came back (the shudder). Yes, I just about crapped in my fine leather seat until I noticed that the emergency break was on (just somewhat on).

I promise that I have not been driving around with it left on... but it felt EXACTLY the same as it did before I flushed the tranny.

Well.. the short of it is that I popped the release and all was well, but it has me thinking that perhaps it could have been the EB hanging all along...maybe. It would have to be shear coincidence that the EB stopped hanging after they flushed it.

Up until the shudder started, I used the EB religiously. However, since I have only used it when I am on a grade.
