what to do got p0401 today again????????? help me lord.

when you say you replaced all hoses what do you mean by that? which hoses? did you check or replace the dpfe hoses? those are a "get motorcraft" part too. you checked voltage too the sensor, i'd be checking the signal wire at the sensor down back to the pcm. make sure its the same throughout. and check the wire while your at it just in case. have you rebooted the computer to clear the code?

I'll add 4 guesses -

1. You didn't clean the right ports ? -



2. Your using the wrong DPFE Sensor - Some Plastic and Aluminiums have modified voltage. You need one like the original - even w/ford parts.

3. EGR Tube leak (Hard to detect sometimes) , manifold or forward O2 bung leak on bank 2 will do it as well.

4. You keep trying to clean/lube the EGR valve - this blows the diaphragm, almost immediately.

hell ya baby!!!! i finally located the problem. it was a broken vacuum line. it was all rotten, and cracked. i cant believe i didn't find it earlier. but in my defence it was behind the battery, and was all taped up. so all is good now. thanks to you all, i would have been lost with out you people. thanks again.

Yep! that's were they break. Make sure your 4wd lines are still intact as well. Those break in the same spot back there by the battery.
