5.4

I have a 2004 5.4 with a k&n intake flowmaster exhast and a new motor about 10 thounds k on it now. MY brother has the same truck just with a s&b intake and it has the stock muffler chopped. We raced the other day and he was about 2 truck lenghts infront of me. I am just wondering if this is because the my motor is still breaking in?

Thanks

He got the jump, hit the peddle faster, drives better, less gas in the tank, less weight (person, tools, etc) etc etc. Any programmers involved?

Put your EDGE on level 3, put only 2 gallons in the tank to save weight, take out the spare tire and jack, and shoot up meds that make everything slow down. If you still lose then he has done something more and probably has a high gear ratio.

X2! Its the only stock option that would explain the race differences.

Flowmaster = Slowmaster. It trades low end torque for noise.
