I respect your opionions since you are in the "automobile business", however I have seen & experienced with my own eyes, since the mid 80's engines that were torn down well after 100K miles running Mobil-1 exclusively........very clean is all I can say! My friends Ranger at 400K+ miles on Mobil-1 further substanciates my "opinions", to me & my eyes! The FACTS!.........Like you said...."your truck, your $$$$"......touchet!...

Uhm NO!

There's a problem with the mix man. - Why chance it?

Wasn't there an old board game called Kaplooyee ? Ahh nevermind, I'm getting that mixed up with the day after Hotwings & Budweiser for some reason?

The day I stop using Mobil-1 will be the day that they lose the API-Starburst, & when PORSCHE stops using Mobil-1 as the Factory fill, & my smooth as buttah, running 5.4 3v goes Kaplooyee! All of you so called "Internet Lubrication Engineers" don't hold your breath!........(LOL)

If you are still going to be stubborn, at least switch to the "EP" version..........it's only about 50 cents more per quart. To the best of my knowledge, it still tests good.

i just want to know real quick- IF your "smooth as buttah, running 5.4 3v goes Kaplooyee" would you even tell us? or would you just keep it to yourself and keep claiming that mobil 1 is still the best? and comparing a ford to a porsche is really stupid. everybody i know with a porsche(like 2-3 people) drives them only on the weekends of the summer(or warm dry weather) and changes the oil once a year. so with that said there oil is getting changed every like 1000 miles if that.

Why not, as long as it meets specs? Believe it or not, Walmart Supertech oil is actually good oil.

I tell you what my friend! If my 2007 5.4 3valve with 34,000 miles on it! Runs as smooth as Buttah, & has no strange engine noises like everyone complains about here with theirs! ie. startup noises, goes "kaplooyee", due to a lubrication problemo with the Mobil-1 5w-20 that I run in it. Not only will I be buying a new F-150, I will buy you one too!.........Don't hold your breath however, since I've been using Mobil-1 in the mid 80's, I've NEVER had a problem with it EVER!.........

There's a saying - "Never believe what you read and only half of what you see."

That could be his philosphy ?

Well, it's not mine and there's no saying, just simple logic.

If there's been bad reports on a product, true or untrue really doesn't matter if you don't have to use the product.

If your investment is of large net worth to you, why chance it ? It doesn't make sense to IMO.

why doesnt someone just make a poll and list every major oil out there and the OP can make a judgment on what oil he wants to use. Kind of like "ask the audience" on who wants to be a millionare. That way everyone can dish it out in the thread but we will have the results on every page at the top so we dont have to read all the nonsense?
