How does one know or find out witch one you have

97-03 and 04 heritage are 5.4 2v engines. 04+ 5.4's are 3v. i'm not sure about the 4.6 tho

Thanks Matts ford. I'v bing reading alot about these cam phasers and it's got me concerned

the cam phaser noise is just a noise. it doesnt hurt anything.

I have that knoking noise alot of guys are talking about when it's cold and some other issues so I'm searching

what year is your truck???? what engine do you have (4.6 or 5.4)?

the 2009 model year is the first time the 4.6 was offered with the 3 valve

you talking about a cold start?

what oil viscosity do you use? and what brand oil filter?

I'm running 10w30 Ouakerstate and embarassed to say from what I'v being reading fram filter
