COPs and plugs are DONE!!!

Well guys, here it is. I had my plugs and COPs changed out today and this is the story - of success! I researched on this site and followed the recommendations of fellow members first and foremost. I ended up ordering a set of COPs from Uneek on ebay, which was a great experience in itself. This guy is pleasant to do business with. All 8 COPs are functioning perfectly in the truck so far. I had the dealership do the work because I don't have the time or tools to get into it myself, and it's between -20 to -40 out like all the time with no heated garage.... The dealer said they had no issue putting the aftermarket COPs in. I had them put in the Motorcraft Single Platinum plugs, all came out and went in without incident, no signs of beginning stages of blowing out either after 90,000km. They also found my rear diff vent tube had somehow come out so they threw a new one of those in there. I only drove the truck about 5km to get it home, but I noticed right away the way it started, just the sound and smoothness.... such a difference. Driving seemed better too but I'll know more once I throw some km's on it. FINALLY!!! A special thanks to tjk_in_cny for his help and advice. I followed his recommendations with the zip-tie method of dielectric grease application and it worked well.

Oh, and while I was at it I had the transfer case seal replaced under warranty. Everything is back to tip-top running order and it feels good.

UMM, i payed 100 and some change for the cops from ebay the v10 pack and 202 at the dealer for new plugs and the install.

but i had the hookup at the dealer so it might cost you a bit more, maybe around 250-300

ford quoted me 256 before i went there and then i knew the guy and i endedup paying the 202.

so i payed about 302 total.

Wondered what happened to you. Glad everything is working out for you.
Make sure you keep up on the other scheduled maitenance proceedures that we have discussed on this forum. You will be driving that truck a long time if you do.

$120.00 if you do the work yourself.

$85.00 for the COP's (w/shipping)
$35.00 for the MC Plugs. (go w/plats)

Labor is free or what your willing to pay someone, to do it for you.
