PCV Valvle question
PCV Valvle question
I replaced the PCV valve the other day. Last night I was thumbing through my owners manual and happened across the page with the part numbers for the PCV valve. I noticed that the number for the 4.6L was on the PCV valve that I replaced. There are different numbers between the 5.4 and 4.6. This got me to thinking: What effect would using the wrong PCV valve have on an engine?

A #EV233 should be fine, but after markets, such as Fram can cause the engine to use oil and also make noises.

I'm fairly certain it was an EV233 I replaced with an auto zone valve. I was just curious. I also put a bottle of RXP in the other day and I'm not sure if the engine is running better from either change.
Good Luck with that valve.
