Coolant leak
Truck is fixed. Did not remove manifold. Went to parts store and purchased a miracle in a can cracked cylinder head sealer. No more leak. But that did not totally fix it. It did however seal the leak in the rad.
Turns out that the hose had an other slit. I cut more off the hose and will replace it later today or tomorrow. Has anyone ever seen a heater hose get hard. By that I mean no longer remain flexible. Mine seems to get brittle where it attaches to the metal tube. Then it cracks and leaks. To quote Artie Johnson; "Verry interresting"

I guess we will never know if the fitting ever leaked. If you look closely at the picture you will notice that the tube is dry except where there is a pool of coolant at the base. That picture was taken after the hose was repaired and I ran my fingers around the tube to check for moisture and there was none. Except for at the base. Today I had to cut 2 inches from where the hose attaches to the tube to get all of the new slit. I suspect that if I leave on it any longer it will start to leak at other points along the hose. Touch wood, at least it isn't the heater core.
